Love of a Lifetime

This is another layout I did for my friend from school..only this time it was a gift for his wife. He's supposed to be giving it to her tonight, so I'm excited to see if she liked it. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her yet, but really hope to soon!

This layout was done using K & Company Blue Awning patterned paper, black card stock, card board and embroidery floss in a light blue color. The floral vine is handmade by me using the same patterned paper. I used Scribbles 3 D paint to make the dot swirls on the right side. The letters are from Fresh Paint and are originally pink. I used permanent marker in black to change their color. Two strips if card board are used to lift the letters off of the background piece and add depth. The photo is mounted on cardboard and black card stock. Small black fans in the corners of the photo are made simply by folding a piece of card stock fan style and gluing it down. A black piece of lace tied in a bow adds the finishing touch!

Thanks for dropping in for a spell and come back soon!

Youth Hunt Layout

I finally got the remaining information I needed to complete Brittany's Youth Hunt layout. I'm still trying to find out the manufacturer of the deer printed paper, so if anyone knows, let me know! I've just posted it to Scrapbook.com too!

Thanks for stopping by!

My daughter Brittany got her very first deer this year during the 2009 Youth Hunt Weekend. She shot this doe right in her own back yard! And she got a perfect lung shot on it too! That's my girl!!

Halloween Party Card

We are planning on having a Halloween Party this year for the nieces and nephews. Since my favorite holiday has always been Halloween, I think I'm more excited than anyone!

These cards were fairly easy to make consisting of only three different kinds of paper ( white card stock, black card stock and a Halloween themed paper). I drew out the bat myself and used white ink to add a little depth to him. I used a white gel pen for all the outlining and for the writing inside the card. The inside of the card has a black writing area using black card stock. I finished the card with black ribbon tied at the top. The edges of the card are burned for a spooky effect.

If you are planning a Halloween party this year, I hope it is Spooktacular!

Thanks for dropping in and I hope to see you again real soon!
