Confidence
This is another layout for Jocelyn's Graduation album. The papers are by DCWV in the Ciao Bella line. These are great papers for inking as several of them have raised scrolls and surfaces that won;t hold the ink with the under layer does. In this particular layout, the scroll looking piece is actually purple in color and I have inked it brown using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Vintage Photo. The flower is hand made using a paper from K & Company in the Blue Awning Collection. Lots of dots and stitching add the finishing touches to this layout!

Sweet Senior
This is for Jocelyn's Graduation album. Not a lot of details on this one, besides the stitching effect. I used K & Company paper in the Tim Coffey line. I love, love, love this paper and the really cool textured look it has. It has a look of tweed or woven fabric to it that adds a lot of character to your pages. Lots of tearing and inking as usual on this one. The letters are by Fresh Paint and are colored Black and red to better match the papers.

A Thing of Beauty
A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its lovliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.
Therefore, on every morrow, are we wreathing
A flowery band to bind us to the earth,
Spite of despondence, of the inhuman dearth
Of noble natures, of the gloomy days,
Of all the unhealthy and o'er-darkn'd ways
Made for our searching: yes, in spite of all,
Some shape of beauty moves away the pall
From our dark spirits. Such the sun, the moon,
Trees old and young, sprouting a shady boon
For simple sheep; and such are daffodils
With the green world they live in; and clear rills
That for themselves a cooling covert make
'Gainst the hot season; the mid-forest brake,
Rich with a sprinkling of fair musk-rose blooms:
And such too is the grandeur of the dooms
We have imagined for the mighty dead;
An endless fountain of immortal drink,
Pouring unto us from the heaven's brink.
This is a poem by John Keats and I found it fitting for this layout. My good friend Jocelyn takes some very beautiful pictures and this is just one example.
I made this layout using paper from K & Company.
I tore and inked the left side and laced it back together using eyelets.
I attached a piece of cardboard to the back to help keep it flat as lacing a page will sometimes cause it to curl up.
I used a flower shaped template to make an outline of dots around the poem. I then added inked and chalked flowers to the petals. A dot of black Scribbles 3D paint in the centers of the flowers finished the layout.
Thanks for stopping by and come back soon!

We Go Together
These two are inseparable. I'm so lucky to have daughters that get along!
I remember my sister and I fighting like cats and dogs most of the time. She always says, even to this day, that I was the instigator. She has always been right about that, but that is just between us!
I remind my girls how important it is to try to get along with one another. There will be a time that they will really need each other to get through some difficult times. I hope they always stay as close as they are now!
Thanks for the visit! Oh, and hug your sibling today! Right now, in fact, I'll wait!

I Love How You...
I did this layout to give to my sister as a Christmas gift! The purpose was to thank her for all that she does for me and to let her know how very much I appreciate her being my sister! She really loved!
I used K & Company's Blue Awning paper for the entire layout. I added some eyelets and a piece of ribbon to the top so she could hang it on the wall if she liked. She said that she would hang it in her craft room, since that's where she spend a lot of her time!
Thanks for the visit,....and remember, layouts make great gifts! Make one for someone today!

Glamor
This is my daughter Erica in one of our photo shoot pictures from last year. I have always liked this picture with that one tiny strand of hair in her face,..makes her look like a 50's starlet to me!
This layout was done using scrap pieces of K & Company paper and some light blue vellum. The background blue piece and the flower are made with newer paper from the K & Company Christmas pack.
Letters are from EK Success.
I made the picture frame by cutting a circle and using the swirl punch on the edges to cut around it. Use this link to see a tutorial.....http://bootscraps.blogspot.com/2009/04/april-27-2009-how-did-she-do-that-this.html

Team Jacob
Jacob, you're asking? What happened to our number one Team Edward fan?
Oh, she's still here!
I made this layout as a gift for my daughter to give one of her friends at school! Her friend is Team Jacob now after converting over since the New Moon movie came out! Traitor, I say!
Another easy layout using black card stock, stitching and swirls done by hand. I made this into a wall hanging by adding eyelets and ribbon to the top.
My daughter's friend really loved her gift, and though I am, and always will be, a true Edward fan,...doing this layout was very easy on my eyes!
Thanks for dropping in!

Mood Swings
This rather odd looking layout came from a moment of total chaos! The holidays, and sometimes life in general, can take you from smiling ear to ear to pulling out your hair in a matter of seconds!
I used four different photographs and spliced them together to make my face. Each quadrant depicts a different emotion.
I did a lot of crazy stitching on this one to emphasize stress levels!
The bottom sheet is a foil piece from Sandylion.
The letters are from Heidi Grace.
I did a lot of little detail work on this one with pens in white and pink.
I hope you can keep it together this holiday season and every season!
Thanks for stopping by and come back soon!

Live the Life You Have Always Imagined
This is my friend Jocelyn in yet another of her cute poses from her profile page. I wish her all the best as she graduates and truly hope she does get the life she always imagined !!
I used a lot of different elements on this layout from inking to stitching to punching holes in it.
Because the layout was photographed laying down , it's hard to see that the holes are not covered in the back. It is a very cool effect!
All papers are from K & Company in the Ancestory line.
Flower is by Flora Doodles.
All scrolls and the butterfly were cut using the Cricut.
Thanks for the visit!

Ice Blue
I just love the look of blue and white for winter layouts. They always look so cold.
I used the photo that I created on Picnik as shown in the previous post. By changing the look of the photo, you can create many different layouts using the same pictures.
Thanks for dropping by!
