Simply Marilyn

July 8, 2009

Ok...I have to admit, if I could choose a starlet to be for a day , It would have to be Marilyn Monroe! To be so adored, by so many, would be nice to experience if only for a while. I think she is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. Glamor. Beauty. Mystery. The girl had it all!

This mini album is devoted entirely to her and her legacy. It has pictures of some her most famous pictures and some I've never seen before, such as this one that I chose for the cover. She must have been very young here. I only have a few pages completed in this album and will be posting them as I finish them.

Here is one of the completed pages:
Thanks for the visit and stop back to this album progress!

Vintage Mini Album

July 5, 2009

This is a mini album I've been working on for the last couple of days It's only the second album like this that I've done, and so far, it's much nicer than the first one!

This album features vintage style photos all printed in sepia to capture the rich browns of old photos. I'm sticking with old style paper and embellishments too.

The first picture is the cover and so far, is my favorite. I think Marilyn Monroe was truly beautiful and classic!

The other pages are photos I found online, mostly dated 1900's to 1920's.

This album has been a lot of fun to make, even though it's difficult working with something so much smaller than 12x12!

I will be posting more pics of it as I progress with it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gatefold Mini Album

June 14, 2009

This was the final challenge at Pages In Time for their June Mini Crop. We were given an online tutorial on how to make it, This one was a bit more difficult for me, as I only scrap layouts normally. It's nice to be pushed outside of your comfort zone every now and again, and try something new. I think it turned out really nice!
