Bloodbath and Beyond

My brother in laws brother Matt dresses up as Michael Myers every year for Halloween. He had the mask custom made so it would look more realistic. He really enjoys getting dressed up and scaring the kids on Halloween night!

Heart of Gold

My oldest daughter is quite possibly the sweetest person I've been lucky enough to know. She is the ultimate optimist and is always willing to lend a hand to help other people. she is just a great kid and I'm sure if things stay the same for her, she will grow up to be a fantastic adult!

I did a lot of inking on this layout. I used K & Company patterned paper from the Ancestory Collection. I made the hearts by cutting them out of card board and covering them with coordinating paper. I sanded and inked the edges and glued lace around the edges.

The letters are by Fresh paint and were colored black with permanent marker( they are originally pink!).

The photo is edited by Picnik using the Ortonish technique.

Thanks for looking!

Miss Independent

My youngest daughter Erica has always had a rough time of it. When she goes to her Dad's, she is surrounded by hunters and outdoorsman who just can't understand a girls need to wear makeup and accessories. In fact, her Dad would prefer that she wore no makeup at all. But, a girl has to look her best at all time, ya know!
I love the way Erica stays true to herself and never conforms to what others would rather she be.

Love of a Lifetime

This is another layout I did for my friend from school..only this time it was a gift for his wife. He's supposed to be giving it to her tonight, so I'm excited to see if she liked it. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her yet, but really hope to soon!

This layout was done using K & Company Blue Awning patterned paper, black card stock, card board and embroidery floss in a light blue color. The floral vine is handmade by me using the same patterned paper. I used Scribbles 3 D paint to make the dot swirls on the right side. The letters are from Fresh Paint and are originally pink. I used permanent marker in black to change their color. Two strips if card board are used to lift the letters off of the background piece and add depth. The photo is mounted on cardboard and black card stock. Small black fans in the corners of the photo are made simply by folding a piece of card stock fan style and gluing it down. A black piece of lace tied in a bow adds the finishing touch!

Thanks for dropping in for a spell and come back soon!

Youth Hunt Layout

I finally got the remaining information I needed to complete Brittany's Youth Hunt layout. I'm still trying to find out the manufacturer of the deer printed paper, so if anyone knows, let me know! I've just posted it to Scrapbook.com too!

Thanks for stopping by!
